About
Supporting innovative research at the intersection of art, ecology, and environmental practice.
Our Mission
The Artistic Research Fund was established in 2024 to support artists dedicated to research practices that address urgent ecological and environmental problems, and other aspects of current affairs, such as the incorporation of new technologies and unprecedented forms of consciousness and ethics. We believe that artistic research offers unique methodologies and perspectives that complement and enhance scientific approaches to understanding our changing planet.
Through our residency programs, grants, and public engagement initiatives, we foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among artists, scientists, environmental activists, and communities. Our goal is to develop new frameworks for understanding and responding to ethical and aesthetic challenges through artistic practice.
Our Values
Our work is guided by a set of core values that inform all aspects of our program development and implementation.
Ecological Responsibility
We recognize the urgent need to address environmental challenges and believe that art can play a vital role in developing sustainable futures.
Collaborative Practice
We foster meaningful collaboration across disciplines, communities, and knowledge systems to develop more holistic approaches to environmental issues.
